F5 FirePass SSL VPN Appliance

Install your Trustwave® SSL certificate

When your certificate is issued, you will receive a ZIP file via e-mail. You will need just the .cer file from that ZIP. The .cer file contains your actual certificate.

Now, log onto the web interface of the FirePass. Click the "Server" link from the Administration Console, then "Security", and then "Certificates". Click "Install" and then choose "Add New Certificate" from the bottom of the screen.

The FirePass will show three large boxes and one small box.

To complete the first box, you will need to open your new certificate (the file ending in .cer from the e-mail) in a text editor. Copy and paste the entire certificate - including the dashed lines at the top and bottom - into the first box.

The next two boxes pertain to the private key you created when you generated the CSR. Find your private key from where you previously saved it, and open it in a text editor. Copy and paste the entire private key - including the dashed lines at the top and bottom - into the second box. If you chose to include a password when you generated your private key, you will be required to type it in the small box just below. If you set a password, but forgot it, you will need to create a new CSR and start over.

Just press "Go" and you're set!
